The hotel is well furnished and designed. There is plentiful parking provided. The room was spacious and well appointed. The only drawback is that breakfast is not included, but you can get some from the Bistro for a reasonable price for a Marriot. The location of the hotel is also within close proximity of downtown Ruston and Louisiana Tech, which is convenient.
Probably the nicest Chick-fil-A I've ever been inside. Of course the staff and food are amazing, just like every other Chick-fil-A, but the decor and layout was awesome. Bathrooms were clean and rather interesting as well. I wish my two year old could've played on the playground, but we didn't have the time (road trip and passing through). It looked nice though.
This hotel is nice and the people are great and helpful. My complaint is with the design of the rooms mainly the accessible room, I am in a manual wheelchair and we stayed on the 2nd floor, the room was close to the elevators. We had dual queen size beds and there was a wall that came out from the wall to the corner of the first bed, that gap was 30" and my chair is 32" width, so I was limited to 1/2 of the room. But payed full price.
Loved this hotel. It was really nice for the price. In the afternoons and eve I gave it has a small bar where you can get a drink and something to eat. The rooms were roomy and nicely decorated. They made great use of the space to give you the most room possible. Beds were comfy and the rooms temp was great. Had a wonderful outside area for sitting out when it's not too hot and the lobby had plenty of space for hanging out. The ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars is at breakfast the line for coffee and a bagel was outrageous. They were out of several things by 730am and it took 15 min to get my regular coffee and bagel. Looked like if you ordered a real breakfast you were waiting a lot longer. Totally dissatisfied me. Only one person working the counter. Seems like a hotel should be prepared for a breakfast rush depending on how booked the hotel was.
Been here 20 minutes and I'm rather impressed... I'm ridiculously picky about a hotel and will sleep in the car before just picking one without researching but this place is clean, awesome staff, and very modern looking for the price it is most definitely being saved as a favorite. And has me looking for more like it for the rest of my stay as well as future ones. Very well done Marriott.
